Spring Jazz

Last night was the Milligan College Jazz Ensemble Spring Jazz Concert. The concert was OK, but the Charles Goodwin Trio opening was fantastic! They played selections from his latest CD of hymns, Great is Thy Faithfulness. Fred Goodwin was doing some strange things on the electric bass.

The jazz worship service was a little weird in some places. Jake Merrick was playing the upright bass, and he was great. Here's the program.

Birthday Lunch at Poppie's

Today we had a birthday lunch and dessert for Papa and Tyler.

At 6:00pm, just as we were getting ready to leave for choir practice, we had a hail storm. The wind was blowing, the rain was blowing, it was very cold, and hail was falling everywhere. Have a look.

Another Saturday

It's Saturday, and Granny's grilling steak, peppers, and mushrooms.

Edwin is at Young Life camp at Windy Gap in North Carolina. Adelia is out with friends for her birthday. But, Cari and Alex ate grilled steak with us.

We hope everything went well with moving today. Let us know how it feels to be in your own house.

There's not a lot going on around here right now. Here's a picture of Cajun. Does he look smug or what? Edwin went to school this afternoon. Mom said the house is officially yours, now. That's great!!!
