Spring Jazz

Last night was the Milligan College Jazz Ensemble Spring Jazz Concert. The concert was OK, but the Charles Goodwin Trio opening was fantastic! They played selections from his latest CD of hymns, Great is Thy Faithfulness. Fred Goodwin was doing some strange things on the electric bass.

The jazz worship service was a little weird in some places. Jake Merrick was playing the upright bass, and he was great. Here's the program.

Birthday Lunch at Poppie's

Today we had a birthday lunch and dessert for Papa and Tyler.

Here's Tyler with her fairy princess wings and wand.

That ice cream sure looks good. Can I have just one bite?

O.K. If I can't have ice cream, I'm just going to take a nap.

Granny and Aunt JuJu had a tea party with Tyler's birthday gift.

Sometimes Poppie just likes to sit and take it all in.

At 6:00pm, just as we were getting ready to leave for choir practice, we had a hail storm. The wind was blowing, the rain was blowing, it was very cold, and hail was falling everywhere. Have a look.

Pictures

I just realized we never posted any pictures from Christmas. I know it's been a long time, but here ya go.

Sunrise a few days before Christmas.

No, that's not a melon. It's Uncle Moobie in the kitchen.

Uncle Moobie got crazy houseshoes for all his sisters. Here are Aunt Linda (dragons) and Granny (puppy dogs).

Even Granny got decorated for Christmas.
